Has it been highlighted in the conditions of your premises?

Regular electrical installation testing within industrial, commercial and public buildings is vital for ongoing operation and safety of your business or building.

From wiring to fuseboards to emergency lighting it is important to know that your installed electrical circuitry is working correctly to avoid health & safety issues for your staff and visitors and also to ensure that nothing is over loaded which could result in a fire, which in turn could seriously disruption or injury.

We are Raymen & Co Electrical Ltd based in Bletchley, Milton Keynes and we carry out Electrical Installations Condition Reports (EICR) for a wide variety of premises.

Full repair, upgrade and maintenance service

Following our in depth testing procedures we provide you with a report on the existing wiring within your building along with any recommendations for work that needs to be carried out plus suggestions for improvement or efficiencies. We offer a full repair, upgrade and maintenance service.

We highly recommend obtaining an electrical installation test if you are moving to a new leased property to ensure that you are not putting your business at risk. The building you are moving from may also require dilapidation's and we can also provide this service.

PUBLIC BUILDINGS

Public buildings such as churches, sports and community centres and schools are used by all sorts of groups and for various days and evenings throughout the week.

As a building used by the public the electrical installation should be checked at least every 5 years to ensure that it is in safe condition for its users. Do you have nursery groups using the church hall for under fives or craft workshops for the elderly who would find it difficult to exit the premises in the case of a fire.

Or possibly large groups of children, Brownies, Guides & Scouts, all would need to be evacuated quickly in the case of an emergency and would be relying on the emergency lighting and signage to see them safely from the building.

FULL TESTING

We test the circuits to make sure they are not being overloaded and becoming overheated. We also test the emergency lighting to ensure that the batteries will not fail at a crucial time such as an emergency on a dark winter evening.

We also check that the correct exit lights are above the relevant doors and they are in working order. Lighting may also be recommended externally so anybody evacuating the building can see any hazards which may cause them to trip and block the exit for anyone behind them.

All of these things need to be taken into account, not just for insurance purposes but for the peace of mind of those responsible for the safety of the people who use the buildings.

SAFETY ENSURED

We can help to ensure that everything is in safe working order and can carry out any remedial works to the installation that are highlighted within our full report.

For general electrical installation works such as additional sockets, data points, hand driers etc, install or upgrade existing lighting to LED fittings to cut energy costs or installation of security camera systems contact us today for a free, no obligation quotation.

THERMAL IMAGING

Raymen & Co Electrical Ltd also provide a thermal imaging service. We can see what the loads are when machines are running and where there is a likely problem.

This can highlight any faults which are causing an increase in temperature which could create problems leading to loss in production or ultimately an electrical fire and subsequent building damage or possibly injury of loss of life.

We can provide a quote to carry out a thermal survey of all distribution boards and provide a full report together with load readings taken at each distribution and sub-main to enable a full scheme of supplies to be accessed.

EICR

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is not a legal requirement but to cover Health and Safety Regulations you have to ensure the electrical installation is maintained in a safe condition so testing is recommended at least every 3 years, depending on the work environment.

How much would it cost you in lost production if machines broke down as the supplies were overloaded. Insurance companies usually insist the installation is tested for the insurance to be fully valid.

Do you want to wait until after a fire to find out?

We can test the installation at your premises and supply an EICR, circuits would be checked to NICEIC guidelines and comprehensive test sheets produced along with details of costings for any remedial works necessary. All fuse boards would be clearly labelled and laminated circuit charts fitted so that everything can be easily identified.
